Games


Students have to pick the word that is heard to one of three written words. Should know how to sound out beginning, middle, end sounds.

Students click on a verb and the action is shown. Could be used for any students.

Students unscramble the mixed up letters to create a riddle. Students must be able to read very well.

Students click on a word family and a beginning sound. These will be blended together as football players come together on the field.

Students click on the words with the short a sound in order to stack 5 chickens. They can adjust the speed of the game and the difficulty of the words.

Students click on the missing letter to make the word that is heard. The word is pronounced for them and the letter sounds can be heard before they're chosen.

Students choose the missing letters to place in the alphabet. The alphabet song plays while the letters are presented each time.

Students choose three books that belong in the same category (i.e. buildings, instruments, people, etc). Students need to be able to read fairly well.

Synonym Sam's Lab

Students find synonyms to the action words given by Sam.

Choose many great reading activities from this site.

Students can play Surprise Box or Clue Hunt in their search for Ernie. They don't need to be able to read.

The Un-Matching Game

An Arthur game in which students choose the word that doesn't belong in the group. Students must be able to read fairly well!


Color Me Hungry

Students choose the colors of food that go into each box.

Elmo Rhymes

Students rhyme pictures with the word that Elmo says.

Alphabet Soup

Students click on a vowel sound and Cookie Monster makes a word with his soup letters.

Storyline Online
Listento actors read childrens' books aloud!

What's the Word?
Reading and Vocabulary Game for students who are reading.
