Carnegie Stout Public Library offers a wonderful variety of reading programs for children of all ages during the school year and throughout the summer. It is also a GREAT place to explore new books. Click on the link above to visit their children's web page and discover all of the fantastic plans they have to involve your child in reading this summer!

St. Mark Community Center, located at 1201 Locust Street, is dedicated to providing a wide spectrum of educational, cultural, and social programs and services to Dubuque's children and families. The Center offers a wide range of programs and services and provides space to a wide number of other organizations. Our current programs and services are comprised of: Educational Programs for Children & Youth, Social & Recreational Programs, Fine Arts Programs, Family Literacy Programs, Parenting Programs, and Community Programs. Storybook Time on the Dubuque Community School District Web will allow your child to listen to books via streaming audio. Many prominent community members have contributed their talents to add a wonderful variety of stories to the web for the benefit of children. You can here such people as: Representative Jim Nussle, Mayor Terry Duggan, Officer Brian Jobgen, and many more.
Sylvan Learning Center, located on Asbury road in Dubuque, offers assistance for students struggling with reading. Click on the link to view the Web Site that explains the Sylvan program.
The Boys & Girls Club, located at 1299 Locust Street in Dubuque, offers children a place to work on homework and use computers to assist them in their studies. They offer a wide range of programs, as well as recreational facilities. You can contact them at (563) 582-4122.
The Dubuque Community Y offers fun and interesting programs for kids of all ages. "Y Camp" is also a highly anticipated summer event. You can contact the Dubuque Community Y at 35 N. Booth St. They can be reached by phone at (563) 556-3371.
