Lincoln Celebrates National Library Week by Introducing
NEW Nonfiction Books!
2009

The Lincoln library proudly introduced 117 new non-fiction books that have been added to its collection! These books should build excitement for reading while helping students find more current information related to units that they work on in their classrooms. The topics updated this year with a $2000 purchase include sports/recreation, water, plants, simple machines, life cycles, ecosystems/biomes, insects, rocks, space, and endangered animals. Lincoln has a 5-year plan for updating our non-fiction collection and other topics will be purchased next year.

Mrs. Brown has also given the non-fiction collection a new look that will make it easier for students to utilize the books and locate the topics they are looking for. Be sure to stop in and see her wonderful shelf displays that make the library more user-friendly!

Students have LOVED the new books so far and have commented on the great pictures and photographs they contain! Be sure to check one out soon! Enjoy!
