Lincoln staff, families and friends volunteered to make apple pies at the South Locust Hy-Vee, our business partner. Volunteers worked in shifts for several hours from Wednesday, October 22 - Sunday, October 25. Assistant bakery manager, Eric, demonstrated how to make a delicious apple pie. Volunteers then worked cooperatively and shared friendly conversation as many pies were made and baked. Hy-Vee agreed to donate $1 for every pie sold. Pies were flying off the counter almost faster than Lincoln could make them, a true testimonial to all the wonderful homemade pies made by the Lincoln volunteers!
