Lincoln held an Awards/Transition Assembly on the last day of school, Monday, June 8, to celebrate with students, staff, family and friends the highlights of the 2008-2009 school year. One of those highlights was the presentation of the American Legion School Award. Select fifth grade students were honored by American Legion Post No. 6 with Scholastic Award and Honorable Mention Certificates presented by Legionnaire Keith Shearer. These Awards emphasize the development of the qualities of courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service.
